Application A high volume (250 gal/hr) flow through system to breakdown lignin to enhance recycling of Martian biological matter
Basispiezoceramic rings driven to generate a noise/pressure field to cavitate. The collapse of cavitation bubbles destroys or erodes material in flow field.
Demonstrations
  1. DREA application: The effective kill rate against the microorganisms tested ( pseudomonous aeruginosa, penicillium and serratia marcescens) was approximately 50% per pass through the system.
